The Color Run™ 5k – Gold Coast, Australia
The Color Run™ 5K is going down at the Gold Coast Country Club on 2 June, 2013! The only question is “Are you ready for the craziest, colourful, 5k of your life?” You bet you are. Race it solo or form a “Colour Team” of 4+ members.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Color Run™ event is a one of a kind experience that is less about speed and more about enjoying a colour crazy day with your friends and family. For our events, it is about participants of all different speeds, ages, shapes, and sizes toeing the start line. Whether you are a casual morning mall walker or an Olympic athlete, the 5 kilometers of The Color Run™ course will be the most enjoyable real estate you’ve traveled in a VERY long time. (If you have more questions about how it all works, check out our “ABOUT” page.)
Rule #1 All participants are welcome… fast, slow, runner, walker, old, and young.
Rule #2 White shirt dress code at the official start line and ready to roll at 9:00 am!
Rule #3 Get completely covered in crazy coloured goodness at the finish festival.
Gold Coast Country Club
We are thrilled to announce Swisse as the major sponsor of the Australian tour to deliver the happiest 5km on the planet here in Australia! The Color Run™ event is a celebration of being fit and healthy, and as Swisse celebrates life every day, the Australian-first event is the perfect fit.
The Swisse partnership also sees the beginning of a proud partnership with their recently developed Celebrate Life Foundation, which will support and manage the contributions from the event to our nominated charities across Australia.
Whilst we have appointed a major national sponsor in Swisse, event sponsorship queries can be forwarded to Aus.Sponsorship@TheColorRun.com
The Swisse Color Run and the Celebrate Life Foundation are proud to partner with The Ponting Foundation as our major charity beneficiary on the Gold Coast.
The newly established Celebrate Life Foundation, a not for profit foundation founded by Swisse, raises funds for integrative medicine research and health promotion.
On the Gold Coast, we will support The Ponting Foundation in their mission to help young Australians and their families beat cancer.
The Ponting Foundation provides funding for a wide range of essential services that comfort and nurture young Australian’s with cancer while providing emotional support and financial assistance for their family. They work with organisations such as the National Institute of Integrative Medicine, Redkite, Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, Children’s Cancer Institute Australia, to provide support for children with cancer as well as the development of research and preventative programs.
We would like to invite you and your friends to register as an ‘Everyday Hero’ and raise funds by running for The Ponting Foundation. The link to our fundraising page is: http://www.everydayhero.com.au/event/colorrungc2013

Why haven’t you registered yet?
Well, this question is something only you can answer through deep thoughtful soul searching. Maybe you don’t like fun? Maybe you have an irrational fear of colour? Either way, in our expert opinion, we think you are plain LOCO if you don’t give this a shot! Our races fill up VERY quickly, so don’t say we didn’t warn you!

Please note we are unable to transfer entries between events.
Are we coming back to the Gold Coast?
Yes, we are excited to announce that we will be back on Sunday June 2 at the Gold Coast Country Club. The event will start at 9am as scheduled, please read the Event Guide for more event day information.
How do I register?
You will need to register for the event again via the link in the email you would have received and you will type your promo code into the section where you would normally make payment.
How long do I have to enter using my promo code?
All April 14 runners will be given an exclusive period until April 30 to enter using their promo code before we go on sale with any remaining entries to the general public on May 1. You will still be able to use your code after May 1, however we can not guarantee you a place in the event, should it sell out. Promo codes will not be valid once the event sells out, so we very strongly suggest registering early to avoid disappointment.
I can’t attend the new date, what can I do?
If you are unable to attend you may pass your code onto another person to use. This transaction must be handled privately and is the sole the responsibility of the seller.
I obtained my ticket privately after the official close of transfers, will I still get the code?
No, the code will be sent to the original ticket holder in our registration system. If you had made a private arrangement after the official close of transfers, you did this at your own risk and will need to get in contact with the person you bought the ticket from.
Did you unofficially transfer your ticket to someone for the last event?
You will have received the promo code via email to the June 2 event, do the right thing and pass your code on (just forwarding the email will work).
What if I can’t attend the event on June 2?
You can forward the official email you receive from The Color Run with your unique promo code onto another person to use. You will need to handle any transaction or payment of your ticket privately.
Why was the event cancelled?
The Gold Coast event was cancelled due to severe weather that affected SE QLD. The course was deemed unsafe by event and venue officials, and in the interest of runner safety we made the decision to cancel.
Will you refund entry fees?
While officially there is no refund (as agreed to in terms and conditions in the Waivers and Agreements section of your online registration) we will be honouring all registrations with a promo code that was emailed to all runners on Friday 19 April.
What do I do with my packet?
Keep the goodies until we come back next time! It’ll be worth the wait when you throw on that pristine white tee shirt.
I didn’t get any colour in my packet?
We hand each runner their colour packet as they cross the Finish Line as a reward for their 5km run ready to use at our Finish Festival. That same plan stands, and we promise to bring extra colour on June 2.
Can I still pick up my pack?
Yes, we have a record of all the packs that are yet to be collected – you will be able to collect this packet before the June 2 event at ‘Packet Pick up’ which we will run again in the days leading into the event. The exact collection details will be confirmed closer to the event.
Will the parking pass I purchased be valid for the next event?
Yes, they will be valid for the next event, as long as you present it on arrival. Unfortunately we are unable to refund the car park passes.
Can I transfer to the other to another event outside the Gold Coast?
No, you are unable to transfer your entry to another event. The promo code will only be valid for the Gold Coast June 2 event.
Who is the charity for the next event?
The Ponting Foundation will still remain the official charity for the June 2 event on the Gold Coast. Color Runners can still support the charity via the Everyday Hero website. http://www.everydayhero.com.au/event/colorrungc2013
